My name is Debra Johnson, I have been taking pictures all my life. Everything I look at I see a opportunity for a picture, and I haven't found a subject that I could not embrace.
I love life and being alive is beautiful....I'm very down to earth, easy to talk to and I have a very silly personality. I love life and love to experience all it has to offer.
My photography is inspired by everything around me. I'm stimulated by light, shadows, color, action, emotion, you name it. But when taking pictures of people, I'm inspired by the individuals. Finding the extraordinary in ordinary!!! Finding the inner beauty and showing it, the fantasy and letting them experience it!! Whatever that person wants to be or be seen as, I try to accomplish for them!! I try to capture the "essence" of each individual and believe that each and every one are unique and beautiful in their own way.
I view the world differently - always looking for the "hidden" treasures. Light and dark creating shadows and breathtaking photos. The casting amber light from a beautiful sunset, the love that two people share when they look at one another, the amazing joy and light from a child's laugh and the joy i can capture from tears. These are the moments that I want to share with you.
I take great pride in my work and I have cried along with my clients on several occasions while viewing our end result. I do mean OUR end result, because it is a team effort. We have to work together to make something wonderful. No need to stress, knowing that I've got your back and I have this part covered! You just be yourself.
Along with my photography, I also provide; hair/make-up artist, graphic design and fashion clothing.
I shoot on locations, studio and destinations.
I shoot a combination of photo journalism and traditional photography. I feel a good balance is what makes it enjoyable and everyone is happy. Grandma gets her somewhat traditional pose for her wall and you receive something fresh and new for yours!
